Universe Share Acquisition by Brulines Group PLC

Universe Group plc ("Universe" or the "Company"), the AIM (UNG.L) listed retail and loyalty systems group, has been notified that on 8 September 2009, Brulines Group plc acquired 8,087,663 ordinary shares of 5p each in the capital of Universe, representing 7.05 per cent of the Company's issued share capital. This represents Brulines Group plc's entire holding in the Company.
