Second Notification of Share Acquistion by Brulines PLC

Universe Group plc ("Universe" or the "Company"), the AIM (UNG.L) listed retail and loyalty systems group, has today been notified that on 15 September 2009, Brulines Group plc acquired 1,472,955 ordinary shares of 5p each in the capital of Universe (“Shares”).
Following this purchase, Brulines Group plc is now interested in a total of 9,560,618 Shares, representing 8.33 per cent. of the Company’s issued share capital.
